Should I hire a cleaner for my home?

Imagine it's weekend. What a great feeling! Now, you realise that you got to clean the house. Well, that's not such a good feeling.

So, Instead of relaxing after the busy week, taking the kids to the park, or catching up with friends, you are likely spending the time cleaning the house. Moreover, there is no end to it, it repetitive, dull and dirty work. However, it still needs to be done to maintain the appearance, the cleanliness and the well being of people living in it.

Whether you are living together as a couple, a family or a shared house, cleaning as a task needs to be shared amongst all, rather than leaving it to a particular person or the female of the group. In my opinion, couples who share their household chores live happier than those who don't.

But, what if no one likes to do cleaning? Well, there is an option - Farm it out. Hire professional house cleaners.

Nevertheless depending on your situation, there may be a another way: outsource the problem.

Sharing the responsibility
Equal raising a child participation, irrespective of a single mom's employment status, appears to be the linchpin for relationship quality.

It's an expense that feels luxurious, but paying for a cleaner might be less expensive in the long run than paying for a divorce.
So, could it be time to hire help?

Do your sums
"The way an economist would look at this decision is: How much could I make per hour if I basically were working rather than cleaning my own house? " says an economist with a Business School.

If so, keep your day job and leave the cleaning to the experts.
But what if you're more likely to spend that extra time with family, playing sport or watching Netflix, rather than working?
Place a value on those activities and think about whether your five hours of time is worth more than paying a cleaner for two hours.
Even if the sums work out, there are benefits to doing it yourself
"I clean my own house, even though I earn a lot of money, claims Dr Foster.

"I feel it's a good thing to model for my children, that cleaning is a respectable activity. And I actually enjoy it.

And if you can't afford a cleaner, she has this advice.
"Children are a vastly under-tapped source of assistance around the house. It's good training for them and it takes pressure off the household.

Let us know what do you think on hiring a cleaner for your home.
